Suns of March - Bulletproof Heart

I really enjoyed playing piano and organ parts on the CD and I was flattered when Michael Wright, who wrote the songs for the CD, asked me to play with the 'Suns of March' at Michael's Pub for their CD release party. Michael plays guitar along with; Clay Lord (bass and vocals), Zeb Bowles (electric and acoustic fiddles and vocals), and Steve Stewart (drums). This is an energetic group of very good musicians who have talent beyond most of the groups I see nowadays and even before nowadays. I had a lot of fun and they've got some very good original material.

Trey Nix - The Art in Me

http://www.treynix.com/

Trey is currently in his first year of college at Samford University and I have known him for years through his mom and dad, Michelle and Chip. But - I didn't know he had any musical talent like his mom and dad until I was at the first writers night at Michael's Pub where I was also playing. When Trey took his turn, I was an immediate fan and I told him so. This year when he was working on his first CD I offered to add keyboard parts and he accepted my offer. It was great fun to play on these tunes. Trey's brother Davis, who is just 16, is also very talented. He played drums on the tracks and he was the engineer at their studio. They both surprised me with their capabilities. Charles Smith who has taken Clay's place in the 'Suns of March' played bass and electric guitar on the CD and I loved what he added. It was easy to put the piano and organ parts on this stuff.
