UPDATED November 22, 2008: Specific updates (Family, Jabbo Stokes Band w/ Sonny Royal, Crystal Ball live, my high school singing group, and Rain on the Roof) are at the bottom of this page .
This website is to offer music and related history to people who have shown interest in the music produced by me and the various bands with which I have played over the years. Also, my family page has taken on a life of its own.
When I run into people at stores and restaurants I am more and more blown away, as time passes, by those who have heard music by my bands, or at solo venues, or my original music, who genuinely loved the music, times, and memories. So, I got computer software that would allow me to transfer taped music from as long ago as 1967 to the digital domain and then to remaster the music. I have found some excellent recordings of excellent bands with good-to-excellent digital results (depending on the quality of the original analog recordings). The pencil sketch you see in the background was done by Bob R. Nielsen, who is Beth Nielsen-Chapman's brother, while listening to the band at the Kove in 1976.
It is great fun and I have spent many hours of days of weeks of months, for almost six years now, working on this project.
With the help of my son Jason, and my friend Bryant Faulk, this website is showing pictures, song lists of several different bands, and samples of live performances and original music. I will add more music to hear as time goes by.
I have HISTORY/COMMENTARY, where the players are now (we have a Grammy winner and a double Grammy nominee among us), where are they now? (I can't find some of the players), extra pictures of the different groups, PERSONAL comments and stories, and a 'Personal family page', on this website. Also, I have an Original Music Page. If you would like to receive a notice when I add updates to the site, or otherwise get in touch, my private contact e-mail is eddie@eddiewohlford.com,. OR, you can leave a message for all of us to read on the website bulletin board.
Prehistoric facts and miscellaneous pictures of Ed's musical evolution into bowling alley stardom.
Personal: I have to stop right here and preface this whole list with something about Jimbo Jones. When you look at the list of bands you will notice that Jimbo is in most of them. The first time I heard Jimbo singing ....click sentence to read more

There are probably some great stories out there. I have met more than one couple who met, dated, married, and had children while coming to hear this music. click here to leave a comment, message, or story
What am I doing now? I am an interpreter for the deaf. That's how I make a living. I have met a lot of great people in the interpreting field and I am so very thankful that I can make a living doing something as honorable as this.
This music is pretty much just us doing other peoples songs, but I have enjoyed the process so much that, at different stages of production, I have found some of the players and those who I knew would flip out when they heard them, and then handed out probably a few hundred CDs so they would flip out, and they did.
There are people who have migrated to all over the country and other parts of the world who may access this site and, without much trouble of their own, hear good quality recordings of live music of nights when they might well have been in the room. They can see and copy pictures of good bands that represent good times, I hope. Everybody copies pretty much what they want to and, honestly, all this music is just wasted unless somebody is listening to it. It may be that the way musicians will make money in today's easy-to-copy-music world is to be the kind of musician that people will want to hear LIVE. I have tried to get past all the digital obstacles that cause homemade music to have unpleasant pops, clicks, or screeches. I have found the best photos and I have tried to include accurate chronology, current information, and band histories, to correct the many rumors and stories I have heard (although some of the made-up stories might be better for story telling), so that the music and pictures might be without apology. I hope that this website might be as much a part of your memories as the original times. They are a lot of fun to reminisce about. I have spent literally hundreds of hours going through dozens of reel-to-reel tapes and cassettes to find the best quality recordings and performances.
E-mail me, personally, at eddie@eddiewohlford.com and tell me you've enjoyed yourself or leave a message on the message board click here to leave a comment or message or experience of your own. Also, if you have questions or need to speak to me, e-mail your phone number to me. My mailing address is P.O. Box 230201, Montgomery, AL , 36123.
These recordings and pictures, along with the writings and research I have gathered about spiritual stuff, is most of what I have to give to my children and everybody I love when I'm not around to talk to them anymore. I'm thankful for all of the people who were, and are, involved.
Most of the value in this music is, I think, to those who played and those who heard it when it
was
played. To me, these bands prove themselves to be specially put
together groups of very talented people who enjoyed what they were doing a whole lot. This was
evident as
I listened over and over to make them sound as good as I could.
Thank you for listening,
Eddie Wohlford

To remind you - everything that is underlined is a direct link to the topic.
I recently hounded Rickey Parsons (for a year) until he let me hear a recording of the version of THE JABBO STOKES BAND when Sonny Royal was playing Saxophone. Rickey was playing funky keys, Mike Turner, A.K.A Flog (Hammond B3 and synthed bass), Tommy Beavers (drums), and I was singing (with a bottle of Tequila for a mic) and playing the trumpet in the band. Here's the link to us doing Midnight Rider (originally done by the Allman Brothers Band)
Katie had an appendectomy and all the help she needed. Adam had a Baby (with help from Katie Jackson). Robin's girls are spittin' out talent. Jonathan is in Japan. Jason is a great dad, husband, and dedicated woika. I am helping Daniel make a portfolio for possible admission to Savannah School of Art and Design. Alice is coming back to the U.S. FAMILY UPDATES
Music has been added to the Prehistoric facts and miscellaneous pictures of Ed's musical evolution into bowling alley stardom. I have added songs from 'Rain on the Roof' and my high school singing group 'The Girl Watchers' (a Letterman wannabe bunch of good friends and good looking dudes).
Here is a live version of 'Crystal Ball' in 1990 at the Civic Center. I have placed it on a page of some pictures and stories that T.Shaw and I share from way back to the mid '90s when I was staying with them a good bit in L.A. and having fun.
Please send your e-mail address to me at eddie@eddiewohlford.com so I can let you know when I add something or when I am playing somewhere.
It may work out that Harmony will play again someday within the next 12 years or so.
Comments about Donnie Sheehan and music from as far back as when we were teenagers are on this page. Donnie is the one in black - (left to right) Bill Andersen, Rickey Parsons (Jabbo Stokes), Jimbo Jones, Donnie, me, and Donnie's brother Louis Sheehan.
FOR THOSE WHO ARE CHECKING - ANNOUNCEMENTS AND NOTICE OF ADDITIONS TO THE WEBSITE ARE ABOVE THIS LINE. IF THERE ARE ADDITIONS TO PAGES ( NEW STORIES, MUSIC DOWNLOADS, OR PICTURES) I WILL DATE THEM ABOVE AND TELL YOU WHERE THEY ARE.
